Cursed Resolve

In the air,
Don’t let it fade –
The city’s smell is bleak;
Reminds me of lost days
And the faces from the week.

And the stars
Still light the sky –
And the earth still spins
For I
To remove you leaves no resolve.

Crying still,
This curse –
Evolved from me,
The rhythms light the way
Strumming the chorus in plea.
