Upside Down
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I think about what could be
I turn myself upside down.
I dream about what has been as
I turn myself upside down.
I find my faults and weigh them in –
I turn myself upside down.
Tell me, the little blue-eyed boy, how
I can turn myself upside down.
Would I be better if I were upside down?
Am I so different
That I can’t float on the same plain as you
Or should I be upside down?
When you entered my life,
You turned it upside down.
You turned a life that was
Tilted the wrong way towards the light.
   Why?
What’s the noise in the distance?
Is it you coming to set me free?
Or are you looking for a way to avoid me?
I hope it’s not you coming –
Coming to turn my world back upside down.
