Today is Cannon’s first day of kindergarten.
He’s so excited. I’m a nervous wreck.
It’s so hard to send my son with autism to a classroom full of neuro-typical kids who may not understand him. It’s so hard that I’m not there to protect him.
I am sure he will have a great day, but I’m still worrying. He’s been talking about kindergarten for about a year now.
I just gotta get through work and then I can pick him up and give him a huge hug.
Edit: He loves school! He was so excited go back. :)

even without a special needs issue, this first day is often a hard parting for the moms....so my heart goes out to you with the extra worries. hoping he loves it and that this experience helps him grow in all positive ways so that he will be happy and you can relax some.
