Family Fun in 2017

Yesterday we ventured to my parent’s vacation trailer, about an hour out of town. The sun was shining and the weather was mid-upper 80s. A great day for fun!
We managed to get out of our house early enough to arrive in time for horse rides. Fiona has ridden a zillion ponies, but this was both of their first times on a horse.
The kids rode horses, though Orion was good with doing it only once. Fiona went around a few times. That girl has always loved horses. I need to see about getting her lessons soon.
We swam all afternoon in the pool. Fiona is learning to swim freestyle and backstroke, which is fun. Shes really getting good in the water. Orion happily played in the toddler pool the whole time.
Back at the trailer we got to see a cool praying mantis on the porch. It was enjoying a fly, which was pretty cool! I’d never seen one eat before.
All in all, it was a nice (mostly) relaxing Family Day. :)

what a really cool place to have to hang out! horses! my daughter LOVES them! how fun for the kids, and for you too...for getting out, making some new memories. it's good...and okay....to do that.
