Look at my sky in My Poetry Slams

There’s billions of stars
All of them falling over themselves
Each one eager to make a wish
On a soul burning from inside
Seven billion pinpricks of heat
Countless people too caught up
And all these screams build up
And all the fury folds inside out
And all the times I wanted to die
Are falling behind me, around me
I can’t keep the fire burning
When there’s no fuel for burning
No longer willing
To set myself on fire
To keep you warm.
