Hi Guys!

There’s so much to do at work before I GTFO of here, but I have so many ants in my pants I just need to write an entry.

I’m pretty much packed for my Italy trip, and I’m trying to be as minimal as possible. This may be boring to many, so skip if you don’t like reading about outfits, but I’m going to tap my ensembles out so that I can see what my plans are on paper and if I’m missing anything. So here goes:

Day 1 – Wednesday, Travel Day: Wearing my “hiking” gear this day (because we are going to spend a day “trekking” up some hill to see a good view of the city. This will consist of black yoga pants (yes, as pants!), black and gray printed sports bra, black tank top and heathered gray seamed and fitted lululemon jacket on top that’s warm and comfy AF for the plane ride. Oh, and of course, my slip-on knit walking shoes that feel like dreamy clouds

Day 2 – Thursday, train from Rome to Florence, and then Florence: So, of course, I’ll still be wearing that shit when we land and on the train to Florence. Hopefully, we won’t be delayed too much by security and the media frenzy that’s bound to be in ROME when we land…because TRUMP will be there. UGGHHHHH!! I hope, hope, hope he doesn’t fuck up our plans in some way. Once we get settled into our hotel and rest a bit, we’ll probably walk around a little bit to get our bearings and then get ready for dinner. I have a beautiful black dress to wear at dinner that’s a fit and flare, above the knee, classy number. I’m bringing two pairs of wedges – one mid-heel, one higher-heel. I’ll prob. wear the higher heels for dinner and after on this night because I just feel prettier, sexier and better in the higher heels. Save the mids for daytime stuff. Hopefully we will make some friends this night to save for later! ;)

Day 3 – Friday, Wineries in Tuscany: This is the day that Giorgio, Maria’s friend, is picking us up at our hotel and driving us out to see some wineries in Tuscany. I know a few things about this dude. One is that he is devilishly handsome, and two is that he is famous in Florence for something that I’m not going to say just yet. There might be paparazzi. I hope the dude is a good driver and that we don’t have to flee a scene at any point during this day/evening. I’m probably going to wear a black knit pencil skirt and one of a few tanks/tees that I’m bringing. This is where the mid-heel wedges will probably come into play. Then back to hotel to get ready for dinner and then out on the town with Giorgio. I will either wear my black jumpsuit with the high wedges OR an off-the shoulder ruffle dress with the high wedges. One is sexy, the other is flirty. Will depend on what the vibe is that evening.

Day 4 – Saturday, Florence: Hiking day? If that’s the case, I’ll wear the plane outfit. Saturday night, I’ll wear one of the three outfits I’m bringing for “out on the town” – it will be a re-run of either the black sexy dress, the black sexy jumpsuit OR the off-the-shoulder dress. Hopefully, our new Florence friends will meet us OUT! :)

Day 5 – Sunday, Florence: Museum Day? If we did the hiking the day before, then this will be museum day or vice versa. I have two options for this day. One, a flowy, featherweight, floral printed long skirt that is like the most comfortable skirt in the universe with sandals, a tank top and my vintage denim jacket if it’s cool, OR a body con tank dress with sandals and the denim jacket. This will depend on how much I’ve eaten and guzzled and how poochy my belly is at this point. Let’s hope the hiking day is a good workout! Just in case, I’m bringing Spanx!

Day 6 – Monday, Florence to Rome via train and a shopping day in Rome: This will be one or the other outfit that I didn’t wear the day before. We’ll have one last dinner and evening in Rome. This will be one of the three dresses UNLESS we decide to go casual, in which case it could be the tank dress OR the off-the-shoulder dress.

Day 7 – Tuesday, Travel Day: This will be the plane outfit from Day 1, UNLESS it is disgusting and unlaundered by that time. Hopefully, I can get a quick wash in so that I’ll have clean yoga pants for the flight home. If not, probably the flowy skirt outfit because it travels really, really well and is soooooo comfy.

There! I think I’m good for clothing. Tonight I just need to figure out and pack my accessories, but I’m glad I wrote all this down because I think I’ve packed just right.

Maria and I are now texting constantly to confirm things, our timing to get to the airport so we can hang out in the lounge and start the trip off right with mimosas…our hotel stuff (she’s trying to get us an upgrade at the already super posh hotel in Florence because her family has stayed there many times, including for her daughter’s wedding). Eeeek! It’s going to be wild.

OK. I feel better now and can get on with my day.
Thank you for indulging me.

xox,
GS
