Once again, I am THRILLED for Friday to be here. I absolutely live for the weekends! This wasn’t as terrible a week as last week, but it came pretty close. The weekend outlook is rosy with beautiful weather, Zumba on Saturday morning and a party on Sunday at Best Bud’s on tap. Bring it on, weekend!

Going to lunch for one of my staff’s birthday celebration. It’s Cinco de Mayo, so of course, she wants to go to a Mexican restaurant. My downfall! I have discovered through tracking my food over the last week that little by little I keep letting myself eat more and more and THAT’S an additional reason why the weight is so stubborn. So yes, while it’s surely my age and the hormones and all that jazz, but it’s also just the simple fact that I eat more calories than I think I do. Self control, Ging. I’m telling you, when I have it, I HAVE it. But when I fall off the wagon, it’s like a tsunami.

You’re so right about SexyPants not ever being able to be alone. I am glad that he’s out in the dating world and encountering all the wonderful craziness that’s out there. I think it’s been eye-opening for him…or maybe it’s been an all-you-can-eat buffet and he’s having a heyday. I can’t tell. I do believe that he has a sob story for me because he doesn’t want me to know if he’s loving it or not. I do believe that he’s addicted to drama. I mean, the enabling of his son, the “crazy” ex-wife, the women in every port… I don’t know if the man will ever learn, but again, not my story any more.

Bachelor Party Marty popped up again in text form after a couple weeks of silence. I wasn’t sure how to take his text yesterday: “Come pick up your sunglasses if you’re free later.” That was it. No, “hi…how are you?” No nothing. It almost sounded like he was annoyed. Had he been waiting for ME to reach out? So I answered back pleasantly, and we had a text conversation. Appears he’s been busy with his house and getting ready to host his meditation group plus some monks (???) for dinner over the weekend. Yeah, huh? He’s a funny one, that BPM.

I can’t concentrate because my co-worker is SO LOUD ON THE PHONE. I suppose I should be working, but we’re leaving for lunch in 1 minute and there’s no time to start anything else before lunch. UGH. How do some people have NO idea how loud and annoying they are? How?
Okay, Happy Cinco de Mayo!
