War Today in My Poetry Slams

Antennas that strangle, wireless phones mangle, so much communication, so little connection.

The beating of drums and signals of smoke herald our undoing, might as well go for broke.

This is the time of humanity’s greatest test, the Age of Information is the Age of Ignorance

So much knowledge lost on those would be willing to give it all up, in the name of blind faith

Beat your drums, don your facepain, it’s time for war.

Check your buckles, cinch your satchels, there won’t be a second chance

This is a far different war than any we’ve ever faced before.
