Such a beautiful day! in A New Beginning

Yesterday was so warm, sunny, and beautiful! First thing Joe and I did was go to Bargain Bill’s flea market. The main thing he was looking for was a mermaid, because he has to bring a decoration or two for the Water altar at next weekend’s Spring Magick event we’re going to. Somebody suggested “mermaid” to him. Well of course no mermaid was to be found, but we did find a few nice things for our NAL store. :o)

Among the things we bought was a couple sets of “Miss Cleo“‘s learn-to-read-tarot sets. You might remember Miss Cleo’s ads on tv from ten or so years ago. For money, you could call her number and she would tell you your future. She was proven to be a fraud, so that’s why her ads aren’t on tv anymore! You can sure find a lot of her tarot decks for sale cheap on EBay! I advised Joe to not buy them. After all, our Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is a serious, established esoteric tradition and many of our members are psychic (for real) and read tarot (for real). But Joe, being bold, asked our Leader, Ivo, about the Miss Cleo decks and Ivo said well why not? Just because Miss Cleo was proven to be a fraud, business-wise, doesn’t mean that her tarot deck is bad or can’t be good for other people to use or learn on. Probably she WAS a good tarot reader; it’s just that it’s wrong to get rich off of people. Good things are sometimes meant to be done on a small scale, because on a bigger scale they might turn into a racket. So, for better or for worse, we have two Miss Cleo Learn Tarot sets that maybe somebody will buy and find useful for learning the tarot! The cards actually look pretty good!

After that, Joe dropped me off at Sister Sandy’s, and came on home because he had outdoor work he wanted to do. (And he actually did it!!) Sandy and I went out to lunch and then walking at Prime Hook Wildlife Refuge. It was a nice day, VERY WARM. We had a great time enjoying the beauty of the quiet marshland, which we both love. Actually, she and I both love anything outdoorsy; it is a love we share, and even though I am Wiccan and she is Christian, we both feel a lot of God-presence when we are in Nature.

She had suggested to me to invite Sister Carol along, but I didn’t. Those two aren’t speaking to each other and I just didn’t feel like having to deal with that. Sandy wants to get back with Carol but she NEEDS help doing so because.....well, it’s too much to try to put into words here. Neither one of them are good at talking from their hearts, at least not to each other. But if I’d invited Carol, Sandy wouldn’t have talked much and as good a time would not have been had, and I think I need to keep in mind that Carol has her daughter she lives with and Sandy only has me & Joe. She does have her son, but he only gets to come visit for a few days about 4-5 times a year.

It does get complicated, this sister thing. But I realize that my two sisters are far from being the only siblings on earth who cannot get along with each other!

Anyhow, I have been up for more than an hour and it just now turned 5 a.m. This is the weekend and I’m going back to bed!! :o) !!
