Conversation with my cat in Well now

She looks up at me, her amber eyes full of offense.
“Why do you keep throwing things on top of me while I’m trying to sleep?”

“Lucy, love, with all the soft and comfy spots around the house to choose from,
why do you insist on napping in my recycle bin?”

“It’s all a matter of perspective,” I say.
Lucy corrects me. “Silly human, the word is Purr-spective.”
