Well, we made it to Friday. Just gotta get through this day…finishing up a big presentation that I will give at noon. And the rest of the day will be putting out fires that have started as we move towards the finish line of traveling to the big trade show next week.
It’s St. Patrick’s Day - hooray!
Today I’m wearing a dress that could potentially take me from work to happy hour. It’s a cute little black shift that has beautiful fluttery sleeves and it can be worn off the shoulder. I’ve got lace-up wedges on my tootsies, and as far as the GREEN goes, I’m wearing this gorgeous green geode statement necklace that looks like a ray of green sunshine. Ready for killing it in the presentation! I truly feel that what you wear to one of these big wig presentations makes all the difference in the world - I know it does for my attitude!
I may sneak out for a patio lunch of some sort this afternoon after my noon meeting. I just wish I was meeting a fun date…or ANYONE for that matter. And yes, I realize that since I don’t really like anyone here in the office that the feeling is probably mutual. That kind of makes me sad. I really do need someone to commiserate with here. Maybe I’ll ask Best Bud for a last minute outing, though I bet she can’t go after normal lunch hours. Who knows, everything may have blown up by then and I won’t even go to lunch. Crossing fingers.
I loved my counterpart, Ryan (not in that way, but I guess you could say that I did have a little work crush on him in that I’d get a little fluttery whenever he’d come by to chat) - but then he left the company in a dramatic fashion. Super dramatic…like, kinda got fired, but not really? I can’t really explain it. Bottom line is, he tried to undermine the Sexual Harasser (his boss, my old boss), but the thing is, you can’t try to get your boss fired. It will backfire most of the time. So, he’s gone. The Sexual Harasser remains. Seriously.
Anyway. gotta go finish the prezzie and get to my meetings. Just wanted to pop in and let you know that while things are still insane here, I’m working through it and am looking towards the finish line of the weekend! I will rest up and prep myself for next week at the trade show, which should be EXTRA crazy since I’ll be done with the Whole Life Challenge and there are dinners and plans to go dancing and probably NO sleep.
