Will I ever stop deciding things??!! in A New Beginning

This was a very good, very full day. After several nights of not sleeping well (unusual for me, but it occasionally happens) because of both arms wanting to fall asleep if I laid on this side or that, I had a GREAT sleep. That was sure needed and appreciated!! I was so comfy when I woke up at 5 a.m. that I laid in bed ‘til nearly six. Joe got up at 7, which meant I didn’t get as much morning computer time as I might’ve liked, but: (1) I certainly wasn’t going to tell him to go back to bed!, and (2) I spend plenty of time on the ‘puter when Joe is home BUT…I get off it to spend time with him when he gets up, and when he gets home from work.
Joe and I took Guinness out to the school grounds this morning for a walk, so he could have some variety. He simply will not come when we call if he is off his leash, so the only time he gets to run free is when we can have him in a fenced area. So Joe said we’d let him run on one of the fenced-in soccer fields. Oh my, he was a happy dog! And we were happy people....until he discovered a dang hole in the frickin’ fence, and out he went!! And since neither of us can fit through a hole in the fence, we had to walk clear around to the gate, then clear to where our car was parked, then drive clear to the only unlocked gate (the one we’d come in through) before we could actually go after him!
He might’ve run five miles, if not for the fact that the house right next to the school grounds just happens to have many dogs living in it. And Joe knew this, because whenever he mows the soccer field, they all bark at him. Joe figured that would be right where Guinness would head, and sure enough, it was. I don’t think he was in any hurry to get into the car and come home, but thankfully, he did....a panting, tired, but happy dog!
After we brought Guinness home, we got into Joe’s truck and went to Seelie Court. We store all the bins of stuff for our NAL Store there, in the barn. The Store’s first Event of the year, Sacred Space Conference, is coming up in March, so Joe wants us to go over there whenever we have a few hours to spare and sort stuff out, separating “decent stuff we want to take” from “crap.” While we were in the barn sorting, our friends Annie and Hamilton, who live in one of the three houses at Seelie Court, came over to visit us. Annie is the High Priestess of my coven (the one I’m not actually an active member of anymore, since I’m on solitary status) and Hamilton belongs to the coven too.
Now as always happens after I’ve spent time with Annie and Hamilton, or the coven in general, this got me to thinking/feeling like I ought to return to the coven as an active member again. So that was what I hashed over for the rest of the day. Maybe I might as well just do it. I don’t like being tied down, but I also don’t like missing out on things! What a darn conundrum that is!! I guess the over-riding thing is, I like being A PART more than I like being apart, though neither one is 100% perfect. But nothing really is, is it?
Anyhow, on to other things…I did not watch the inauguration, because my bff Wendy came to visit for the day. But I listened to Trump’s speech later. I thought it was a good speech. Of course all of our liberal friends and the liberal commentators hated it and the things they criticized made me think, “Hell, did we even listen to the same speech?????” But I have learned, not just pertaining to politics but pertaining to everything, that most people SEE WHAT THEY WANT TO SEE and HEAR WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR. I am not like that, obviously, because even though I haven’t supported Trump, I don’t dislike this speech because my two perfectly good ears did not hear a damn thing wrong with it!
On the other hand, one of his first acts once he got into the oval office was to repeal a just-recently-passed bill that was going to lower prices/rates on FHA mortgages and make it easier for lower-income people to buy homes. There’s nothing about actions like this that are going to help the working class people of America! And they’re the ones who voted him in. Well he’d better start helping them then. I agree with him that they NEED help.
Of course liberal women and commentators are criticizing Melania’s “official biography” because it just talks about her modeling career and her jewelry or makeup or whatever-it-is that she sells. I say, Give the Woman a Damn Break! So she also did some naked pictures, okay, what-the-hell-ever. I think most of us have done a few things that we would choose to omit from an “official biography.” I know I have! I’m not into women giving other women a hard time; there’s too much of that. I don’t know if I will EVER like Trump, but I think his wife seems likeable! It’s not her fault that he acts like an asshole sometimes! She probably gets pissed over some of the things he says! Just like many a wife! She probably tells him so, too! Well, if she keeps telling him long enough, he might start to act better! So I’m going to be on her side! ;o)
I am going to post this now and wish you a lovely evening and Sunday. I’m going to lunch with my sisters after Carol’s church tomorrow, and in the afternoon Joey and Stephanie are coming over to watch the Patriots/Steelers game. :o)
