I hate being indecisive. in A New Beginning

I no sooner sent a letter to Annie (my former High Priestess) indicating that I want to return to the coven, than I began mentally kicking myself in the ass for doing so.
ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I hate, hate, H-A-T-E being so damn indecisive!! Why am I being so indecisive about this anyway?? I’m not usually indecisive! Joe said it’s because this is a very emotional issue for me. Most things aren’t. In fact, I’m a fairly unemotional person. sigh I tell you one thing; it was not a good idea to tell Joe I was already regretting sending the letter!! He had a lot more to say about it than I really wanted to hear. But on the other hand, it was good that I told him because the stuff he said that I didn’t want to hear was all RIGHT. I am just going to stick with this decision and TRY to stop thinking so much about it. I remember my OD friend whom I have admired for so many years, Patrisha, saying that she tells herself, “Nothing is either good or bad, save thinking makes it so.” If I focus on the good aspects of being in the coven, and stop niggling over the less-than-stellar ones, then re-joining will be GOOD. Nothing’s perfect, but GOOD is good!

I went out to lunch with my sisters after Carol got out of church yesterday. Sandy lives near me, so I pick her up and we drive into town. Sandy is very moody. She was in a good mood when I got to her house, and we visited and drove to Carol’s chatting away merrily. She was in a good mood when Carol got into the car, and we drove to the restaurant, sat down and ordered, chatting away merrily. But at some point, very early on, she just clammed up and sat there with her stern look, barely saying a word. We never know what brings this on, but it makes both Carol and I uncomfortable, especially Carol. And trust me, we have learned that it is NEVER a good idea to ask her what’s wrong!!!!! Not unless one wants one’s head bitten off (but still get no real answer)!

So it would’ve been more fun if that hadn’t happened!

Joey and Stephanie came over for supper and to watch the Pats/Steelers game. My whole family are Pats fans! But Stephanie is a Steelers fan. Since the Pats won (by a good margin, I believe, though I went to bed before the halftime!), Steph left looking quite sad and forlorn. But she does want the Pats to beat the Falcons in the Superbowl, so everyone will be on the same side then!

Our weather here today has really been crappy!! It’s been pouring rain and the high winds are just blustering all around like dang Fools! Guinness is scared of the wind when it’s noisy like that, and doesn’t want to go outside. He doesn’t mind it if Joe is taking him out fpr a walk, but he sure isn’t eager to go out on his chain, even if I’ve just come home from work and you’d think he’d have to pee!!

Ya know, I read a list of the ten breeds of dogs that are the clingiest, and sure enough, Labrador Retrievers are on that list! Guinness doesn’t pester me, but a lot of the time if I am not paying him attention he just looks like a little lost soul. I think it’s endearing that a big dog like a Lab is that way. He is a sweetie-dog!

I hope tomorrow is a bit less temperamental, weatherwise. And I hope it is a good day for you, too!
