Ha! I started thinking this morning (imagine that!)....”I had once started a blog where I could put pictures in the entries somewhere, but where was it?!” So I started looking up every blogsite I could think of, which wasn’t many....blogspot, blogspace....and finally happened upon wordpress, which is where it was, and I found it. I had written 3 or 4 entries there and posted a link to them on FB, but then I grew bored with it and let it be. I kinduv like the site itself better than this, because you do get some choice of backgrounds (not much!) and it is easy to put a picture on the top of one’s entry. But I’m here now, so here I shall stay. At least I have a few friends here! And friends are important to me!
Well guess what?? I had another day off from work today! But true to what I had promised myself and the world, I did not stay cooped up at home. I was getting soooo bored and fed up with that! The lazier I am, the lazier I get to be! So after calling both my sisters and consulting with them, I picked them both up and we went to lunch at Betsy Ross Pizza in the town where Carol lives. Before I picked them up, I went to the bank, got gas in my car, picked up a few things at the Food Lion, and toured the roads I travel on my way to work to see how they were looking. Gee whiz, the worst roads were the ones right around mine and Sandy’s houses; the whole rest of the way to school was clear! So I am sure there’ll be school tomorrow and that is ok with me.
I have been reading up again about the epidural steroid injections I have been getting. (I’ve only had two; they can be gotten every 3-4 months.) I have this one friend who has told me in a very bossy way several times that I should be doing yoga because the injections are just temporary. Well, if there was a convenient time and place for me to take a yoga class, I WOULD, darn it, but there isn’t, and I work full-time and have no darn energy for gallavanting all over the place a couple nights a week to do yoga classes. There aren’t any places that teach yoga closer than half an hour from here. Maybe I can find something for this summer. But perhaps I will ask my orthopedic doctor about some physical therapy, starting after my next injection. There’s a physical therapy place in the same little building as his office, which is only about 10-15 minutes from work so I could go right after work in the afternoons.
To tell you the truth, being sore every day gets tiring! But so many of us have known that for years already! ;o) At least I am not sore 100% of the time. And I am enjoying life! There are worse problems; many people have it much worse than I have.
Well, my friend/co-worker just messaged me that we will definitely work tomorrow. That’ll be good; I don’t need to get any lazier! Next week, we have another three-day week anyhow! Martin Luther King Day is next Monday, and Friday is an inservice day. And by then, this cold month of January will be a bit more than half-over!
Now to get ready to watch Jeopardy. I wonder if I’ll be smart this evening? :o)
