So in addition to feeling like I've been hit by a bus, yesterday I started to get a really sore throat. Like, the kind of sore throat where you avoid drinking water because it hurts to swallow. Yesterday it got a lot worse, plus I had a fever and my lymph nodes were going crazy again. We also had a snow day, so I figured I might as well go to the doctor and get checked out for strep. I got the test done and it came out negative... "But this does look a lot like mono," said the doctor. According to the doctor, having mono basically means not doing anything until it gets better, which it will probably do in two to four weeks. If you go out and do stuff anyway, it will only get worse. So... Let's take a look at the facts here:
Mono + killer classes = really bad
Mono + two performances to prepare for + less than a week to prepare for them = really, really bad
Mono + not even having made out with someone recently = NOT FAIR.
So I'm basically freaking out, since I am barely hanging onto Bs right now as it is, and missing the the Tri-M performance would most likely mean no Tri-M performance. I am waiting for the results of my blood test right now. They sure as hell better be negative.
Update: No such luck. They are positive. I can still go to school and practice and stuff though, so that's good. I just have to "take it easy" and not let myself get too tired. I am pretty tired right now. Eugh.
