I feel like updating, but I'm not feeling very communicative right now. I've been speaking in sentence fragments all day, and the bio essays I wrote are terrible. I think this calls for a list.

  1. Found two more spiders. This makes it a grand total of eight. Three have been in my bed. Definately not cool. I put duct tape over a suspicious looking crack in the window sill and bug bombed my room to high heaven, so hopefully they're all dead. But I'm still kind of paranoid, and I've slept a couple of nights in the living room.

  2. Last night I slept in my room and went to sleep relatively early (around midnight) but for some reason woke up at three and could not get back to sleep. I got up and ate breakfast and ended up falling asleep at about eight. My mom woke me up at nine and told me that we had to be at church at nine thirty. At this point, I was just about ready to pass out. I had a terrible headache and could barely stand up. Then

  3. At church, I royally fucked up this really hard, really pretty Mozart piece that I used to be able to play perfectly. I mean, I don't think I looked like an idiot. I think it looked like a talented player who made a few too many badly timed mistakes. It wasn't about me looking bad though. I really liked that piece and I really wanted it to sound good. The organist screwed it up too, I suppose (although not as much as I did.) She actually called me as soon as I got home and said what I had been thinking - we need to do it again, and do it justice. Eugh. I hate bad performances.

  4. (And most importantly) Band camp starts tomorrow. I suppose I should probably pack. Anyway, that should be an interesting entry. Not to scare you away, but last year's band camp entry in my regular journal is twelve pages long. A lot of interesting stuff goes on when a bunch of nerdy teenage musicians live together for a while. (That wasn't meant to be suggestive. Although in some cases, it probably should be.) This year, we're planning to give Dave a mohawk. He got one last summer and his mother made him shave it off, but everyone agrees it looked awesome, so he's doing it again. Cabins should be interesting. I kind of hope I don't end up rooming with Cassandra again. She DOES NOT SLEEP AT ALL. On the other hand, we had the boring cabin last year, and Cassandra's had parties. Hm...

Oh man, I have to carry my trombone around this year. I remember when my instrument fit in my suitcase. sigh

Oh well. I'll tell you about it when I get back. (Because I'm sure everyone's very excited about hearing my "this one time at band camp" stories.)

Actually, I'm wicked excited. (See title.)
