You should understand that things haven't been all bad. Talking to my friends usually makes me feel better, and I get a chance to talk to them several times a day. Little funny things have happened that I've failed to mention. For example, Tom shaved off his goatee. He looks less hippy and more Colonial-America now, since his ponytail has one neat curl in it and looks like those wigs they used to wear. Kevin's birthday is on Saint Patrick's day, and since he's ridiculously Irish he showed up to school wearing half a tuxedo with a green bowtie, an enormous leprechaun hat, and his normal, beat-up pants and sneakers. Every day in Latin we pay less attention, and every day we have more fun. Today we were all just sitting there, bored out of our minds, and Dave goes, "Hey, how many pirates can fit in a tube?" "How many?" "YARRRR!" We both burst out laughing. "Is that the whole joke?" I said when I could catch my breath. "Yeah. I just made it up." Eventually we were all laughing hysterically over the pirate joke. "Oh man," I said. "I really hope he asks us what's so funny." We all laughed again. At lunch we sat together and played with my pudding like fourth graders.

I ended up writing that entire paper tonight in about two hours. I don't think it's that good, but I didn't think the last one was that good and I got a 98.5 on it. And my math homework... well, it's not like my homework average can get much worse if I keep turning in homeworks that I get half credit for.
