Typing on my phone so this won't be a long entry! It's hard to get on my laptop with Piper! She likes to be held and frankly I'm totally okay with it! I know she will only want to be held and snuggled for so long and I don't want to miss a second of it. She is amazing!
So, last night she slept through the night for the first time. I don't have faith that it will happen again tonight. I had been letting her sleep and wake as she wanted but waking her up around 11-11:30 for a final feeding before I went to bed. She went a couple of weeks waking up between 3:30 and 4:30 and being up for almost an hour and then getting up between 6:30 and 8:30 for the day. Last week she switched to getting up twice; around 1:30-2:30 and then 4:30-5:30 for shorter periods and then between 7:30-8 for the day. Then on Friday and Saturday she took a 5-6 hour nap during the day which I had to wake her from to feed her! So, yesterday I decided that I was going to feed her about every 3 hours. She ate at 3:30, 7:30, 10:30, 2, 5, 7:15, 9:30 and then fell asleep. She was up for a long stretch in the afternoon/evening. So I got Home from my best friends house around 10:30 and was too tired to wake her. I got ready for bed and hit the hay thinking she'd be up around 2. She woke up a few times for the binky and I woke up a billion times in anticipation but she didn't wake up to eat until 5:30!!!! 5:30!!!! She slept 8 hours!!!!
Today she's eaten at 5:30, 8:30, 11, 1, 4:30, 6:30. She also has started giving REALLY big smiles. It's really cute. I could look at her smile all day long.
My mom had her second chemo Treatment last week. She is not feeling very well. Last time she had chemo on Wednesday, felt ok on Thursday and then pretty crappy on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and started to slowly feel better on Monday. She seems to have some of the symptoms more intensely this time around but she does also seem to be starting to feel better today. She describes it like the flu. She says she's really tired and worn out and weak. My poor mama.
And, my brother has set his wedding date for 6/14. Less than 6 months from engagement to marriage. I think it's a little weird that they've been dating just a year and they get engaged just before Christmas and plan the wedding for less than 6 months later. Weird! That's not like my brother. And, I'm a little annoyed that they can't wait longer for my mom. She ends chemo mid April and likely won't have her hair back by then. She LOVES her hair and I think it's crappy that we will always look at Jimmy's wedding pics and see my mom without hair :( well, with her wig.
