The screech of the alarm
The slap of my hand
The day begins in earnest.
A bowl of cereal
A Grape Kickstart
A reluctant march to the shower.
The drive to work
The resignation that comes
The eyelids weigh a thousand pounds.
Going through the motions,
yet again,
and fighting off the urge to sleep at my desk.
Recovering from a night of pain
Recovering from a night of stiff body and pain
no wonder i want to return to sleep.

I know the pain part anyway :-) and the dreading the shower but I usually feel much better after !
