Pigeons, medals and porn in blackpropaganda

Seems some time since I put up the pics from the cruise - is it only a week since we got back?

There is surfing a round sites this morning and I found something which struck me as a worthwhile reason for presenting porn - not one I have come up against before!

Christian Amateur Porn is about teaching Christian men that God designed us to enjoy the female form as well as thoughts about sex. I want to encourage men to think about having their wives submit photos to this site as a ministry. To help other men have that way to experience their need for a variety of beautiful women. To help them quench that thirst for the beauty that is woman. Think of how many Christian men could be helped by this.

You can guess the content. And not a minister in sight (site)

Anyway, has anything of note being happening in the BP household?

We have a number of feral pigeons coming a round when there is seed in the feeders and the smaller birds knock it on the ground. While away the seed has run out - and so we were surprised to see a pigeon scratching a round the other morning. Even more surprised when I went out and it did not fly away, as they normally do - and then he/she just sat around hardly moving except to flutter its wings occasionally. We put some water near it and some seed - but it was not interested.
We guessed it was slowly dying - and so it proved - the following morning it had expired. So SW.. lifted it into a bag - amazingly light - showing it had lost weight - and I took it to the re cycling centre - not a case of burial since we were not sure what it died of - apart from old age.

It is interesting how sad the death of even a pigeon makes you.

And here are some cards I painted on board to give to our table companions - the one in the right was for a young lad with his grandparents who was the smartest dressed person on board. They were all delighted when we gave him the card, just a nice touch to remember the cruise

And today is the last day of the Olympics - and Team GB (which should be Team UK) has surpassed itself with medals - no doubt because of the funding given to the team members over the last four years. I am ambivalent about the whole thing - very pleased to see the success, but wishing they did not cloak themselves in the Union Jack. Someone suggested it smacked of the Cold War days when the Soviet Union got amazing results through state funding (and drugs) - now it is mainly private Lottery funding for a sporting elite. Some right-wing press have suggested it has healed the wounds of the Brexit vote - unlikely! - more likely, yet again this ephemeral success has cloaked the very real economic and social problems of the UK, which was the reason why many voted to leave the EU.
Anyway - this is the best picture of all - Nicola Adams - two times gold medal boxer (2012, 2016) - the epitome of all that is best

When I was a child (cue Pink Floyd) I'd bring birds home to die. I didn't want them to die alone. I was a strange and emotional kid.
I absolutely love the cards you painted! What a nice thing to do for others :)
The only thing I liked about the Olympics was the end, when the Prime Minister of Japan channeled his inner cosplayer to tout the 2020 Olympics :)
