Its temporary and when he grows up he will not know. Till then its a cranky baby that hates his foot wear. Feeling terrible making him cry as I stretch his feet. Not being able to wear footies pj’s at all and just the awkwardness of the bar.
Do you know how many thing you put a child into when they are infants with holes for there legs???
Everything.... shopping carts although we aren’t there yet.
Those entertainers, carriers, etc....
He can’t move his legs freely. It sucks

His apt with the doctor went bad in April and I was expecting to say he would need surgery at the end of May. There was a 2 week span he really didn’t wear the braces. We were visiting family and it was easily to leave them off and then he got sick so it was hard to tell if the irritablity was from the booties or him being sick. So I left them off. Therefore his feet were stiff when we went. The Dr said since they were stiff and if they were still like that at the end of May he would put him in casts or operate but told me to stretch them as much as possible when he has them off. So I figured during the day I had them off if we were headed for surgery anyways and kept stretching them. During every feeding I would hold his feet. End of May came and the doctor was please with his feet being pliable again. He will check them next month as he said that they do tend to get tighter the older they get. Of course this is just encouraging me to keep them off during the day and only wear them at night still and stretch them during the feedings. He’s going to be changing booties next week. We went to the clinic to get things taken care of today.
We both might tolerate having them on longer.
Teeny baby problem.... when you are the size of a 2 month old the bar that he has doesn’t allow for movement as they think 2 months don’t move that much… he’s 4 months…its a problem.

The other problem....
After he was born besides the club feet, they found a sacral dimple. A sacral dimple is like a deep hole near your rectum. As I was changing him for the first time I was a bit confused as it looked like he had 2 holes back there. I have to say it did freak me out a bit. Later they told me about it and found that it should be ultrasound to make sure there’s nothing going on back there. What they failed to tell me is that it could be a sign of spina bifida , a mild case but still some of the neurological symptoms from it. Here’s the good and the bad....
good news is his doesn’t have any of the unusual suspecting marking that there’s a problem however with that said there is a correlation between spina bifida and clubbed feet....

So tomorrow he is going for an ultrasound of his little backside to make sure there is nothing.
I’m tending to guess there’s not as he has no problem with his legs. but there could be kidney involvement. hoping for the best.

Oldest is on a field trip with the school. He’s going to Washington DC.
Middle child thinks he’s hot stuff since big brother isn’t here.

Father is home at this time....Still driving me crazy. Whole nother story.

and the tub was draining slow, tried to unplug it. Did but the pipes broke. Can’t get the one screw off to finish the job. Called a plumber, should be here tomorrow morning. Hoping he doesn’t charge me too much to get a screw off.
