It is Sunday afternoon with nothing better to do then read threads on facebook then commenting on a few.
On one thread about LGBT a older male made some harsh racially comments about the diversity of different people. Took a moment to look at his profile to understand the background of this person. He is a Houston Firefighter, which means he was acting out on the behalf of the Fire department. What he stated was absolute against their policy and ideals.
Called him out and requested I go to the station he was located at for an interview. He quickly deleted his stupid comments and reported me. Which I find very hilarious considering how the regressive mericans ( Not to be confuse with Americans ) that spit hatred and ignorance is the one’s that are cowards.
Later that day I was blocked from using facebook for 3 days and it was quick annoying just thinking, What I’ll be doing for the 3 days then quickly decided to do a social experiment.
How long will it take for friends to notice my absence from the social media site. The site I heavily use to communicate and post about my daily life. Told one of my friends to let me use her facebook for the moment to post on my thread that I will be gone for 3 days and to use my other interactive applications to contact me.
I was thinking that several will acquire my whereabouts but sure enough not many took notice or maybe have seen and ignore all together. Made me wonder, Why do people care or the true meaning of friendship. I’m the type of person that love my friends & would contact them if anything is wrong or when I’m very business I’ll message them. I understand the importance of friendship and being able to connect to them to be able to stay in their daily life. I was disappointed that many that I would call best friends or friends for that matter didn’t even try to communicate with me. A few local friends did through text messaging and I understand that many were busy with daily life. Though it is sad to see many didn’t really try or give a damn. With so many applications to be use to keep in contact on the third day not a single alert on any that where of friends.
Though as much as I love my friends I try to keep my distance only because many have came into my life by chance and love to interact about daily life and everything I know that many have simply walked away. It sucks that it happens but I have for the most part numb out everyone that I call friends. If they don’t try as much as I do then I shouldn’t try 100% just to see them fade away.
