If you’re unhappy… if you don’t like where you are… where would you rather be?
Two Scenarios present themselves. Obviously, one is preferable to the other. And… humorously, the one I prefer is listed here as second.
(1) Successful lawyer and businessman. Prosecuting crime for 60 hours a week and semi-managing the nightclub/coffee shop that I own. Spending what little free time I have dividing my attention between friends, family, and a swarm of beautiful women more interested in my money than in me as a person.
(2) Working attorney. Earning a decent enough living working 40 to 60 hours a week. Living in a fairly sizable five bedroom home with a nice large yard for the dogs. Spending every evening sitting down to dinner with my wife and kids; weekend hours divided between friends and family.
And that’s the humor; at least for me. I want either enough money to buy a house, stay in relative comfort with spending money for vacations, movies, and fun with a strong functional family OR I want more money than I know what to do with while being too exhausted working to enjoy it.
I see it rather like a decision between:

OR

Meanwhile, family and wealth are more:
