Sad and funny! in blackpropaganda

Sad news last night. An old colleague who has just reached eighty has had a stroke which has knocked out his memory and ability to know what is going on - no physical issues, but all in the mind. He has been deteriorating for some time - noticeably more forgetful, but still living alone, and coping day to day.
Not any more - there is uncertainty whether any rehabilitation will help him recover some of his faculties.

The good news, that at least the Icelandic thriller in 10 parts finished last night - after all the blizzards and snow the thaw had started - we have friends in Iceland at the moment on a tour - I suggested wellies and a big coat.

And also good news that the Tumblr site for my funnies is going strong - so here we are with some Sunday ones

It's so sad when memory is wiped out.

That is so sad indeed. It has happened to quite a few on my dad's side of the family.

I always think back and forth between whether or not I'd want to be physically impaired but mentally stable or the other way around. One is harder for oneself while the others is harder for everyone else, it seems.
