Yes, that is what I would write on a postcard if I were sending one. It has been a nice relaxing long weekend in Cape May.

We got a late start Friday, didn’t leave until 11 but not a big deal because we couldn’t check in till at least 3 and we made a pit stop at a warehouse liquor store and then drove into wildwood so by the time we got to our hotel we were able to check right in.

The weather has been perfect—Friday was a bit cloudy and then it poured during the night and was very windy (but we were sleeping when all that happened so who cares?) and yesterday was sunny and just right temperature-wise. Today it is cloudy and it started to SNOW! We walked around in it and it is so pretty, not really sticking, it is more of a wet snow. Now we are relaxing in the room, having some cheese from the cheese shop, bread, also from the cheese shop, and some wine and Jeff is watching the game.

Last night we had a fantastic meal at the hotel—I had yellow fin tuna and Jeff had NY strip—melt in your mouth meals, and then we sat in the lounge for a bit listening to the piano player. Not sure what we will do for dinner tonight, might go to the hotel next door for their open mike night and have a burger. Friday we ate at an Irish place and had bagels and mash for Jeff and I had shepherd ‘s pie, both good comfort food.

Monday we head home and back to reality, need to tighten our belts and get back on track food wise.

All in all a nice relaxing weekend.
