Like I’m going to marry a broad named Lips?

Anyone ever seen any of these bottle holders before?
I saw them when I went Christmas shopping today. There were various figures including a bald eagle - all holding wine bottles. Sorta weird, I thought, but I might have been missing some point. Wouldn’t be the first time.
The same store had a mirror in a pretty gold frame. I decided to look at myself. The mirror was laying on a shelf sort of looking up at me. I was transfixed. I was in shock. I could not believe how old I looked.
I realize how old I am and I suppose I look as old as I am. But. It was a shock.
I was also struck with the fact that there is no going back. I will only continue to get older. There is one alternative of course, but that’s not terribly attractive either.
Sometimes I am ready to go, eager even. But those are times I’m fooling myself.
Oh well. It might have been a faulty mirror.
It’s Sunday night. December 20th. Solstice/shortest day of the year/first day of winter is tomorrow. Three days of work and then a four day weekend. Christmas is almost upon us. Then three more days of work and another four day weekend. Happy New Year. 2016. Wow.
