Ginge-A-Thon Day 1 in These Foolish Things

Welcome to my new thing! Thanks to [Oscar Buzz] for the triathlon idea
and a desire to keep writing, I’m going to keep going.

I’d like to use the Ginge-A-Thon idea to help me with my workout routine as well as my diet too. Over the last few months I’ve noticed a severe drop off in my workouts, and it shows!

In fact, I noticed a few photos on FB that have been posted lately, and I look TERRIBLE! Flabby abs, thick thighs, wobbly hips - it’s awful.

Today I took the day off work again (vacation I gotta use!), but I got up at the same time I normally do for a workday, did my 30-minute workout that I haven’t done in months, and then I took the dog to daycare and went shopping! I spent 6 hours in the mall, and a lot of that was walking.

My diet didn’t fare all that well today, but I tried, sort of. Breakfast was a latte, then I took myself to lunch at this awesome new restaurant in the mall (really, it’s a very cool non-chain, hip restaurant and bar), and dinner was the last of the leftover turkey dinner from Best Bud. And yeah, I had a couple glasses of The Bulldog’s family wine. He’d left nearly a case of wine with me way back when and I’ve almost depleted the stash.

Side note, I got an email from the BD today. Strange, he must have caught my vibes from last night because I was thinking about him quite a bit. I don’t know why he sent that note - it was really nothing much, but I feel like he wanted to open the door again? Who knows. Still, it was nice to hear from him. Luckily, I’m no longer in love… ;)

No word from SHIP today.

But I made a date for tomorrow night with a guy who I sort of like but kinda don’t. More on that later if it is anything to write home about.

OK. Well, I better call it a night. It’s back to work tomorrow. It’s been a wonderful, wonderful few days off. I’ve enjoyed every single wonderful second…

Love you crazy bunch. Thank you for keeping me going!
XO, GS
