Festering Feelings in Lyrics

Just wrote this a couple hours ago. I suppose it’s about certain types of people, like the one I used to be. The results of not speaking your mind and holding onto things. Usually I conjure lyrics while listening to a song and by the end I imagine it with a different beat. No music was present for this but I imagine it being an upbeat moderately fast and heavy rock song. Old Finger Eleven-ish but less broody.

Things you tried to say but just could not
They start to fester, start to rot
They tend to corrupt, to decay
Better spit that shit out today

It’s eating you alive
It’s eating you alive
Eating you from the inside!

Times were tough and you were weak
The bitter poison did not leak
It’s still trapped, ready to bubble
Ready to burst, ready to cause you trouble

It’s eating you alive
It’s eating you alive
Eating you from the inside!

It’s spreading inside you so vile
Choke on misery hatred and bile
It’s spreading inside of you so vile
Choke on misery hatred and smile
It’s spreading inside of you so vile
It’s gonna be here for a while

It’s eating you alive
It’s eating you alive
Eating you from the inside!

Eating you from the inside

Eating you from the inside

Eating you from the inside!
