Casie Marie has Cushings Disease in Plan B

I took Casie Marie Boo Boo Head to the vet this a.m. and $165 later I found out she has Cushings. It has to do with the adrenal gland and making to much cortisol which controls basically everything you do. I truely thought I was going to have to put her to sleep. Playing Gawd is not me but neither is seeing a dog that is sooo loved have to suffer. One of the many side effects for this disease is panting. I looked everything up on web md and there is a drug. For $50 a month and 30 capsules it can be controlled. They did give me rummidil for her arthritis. My heart is sad. She was so strung out they gave her a shot of valum. I asked if I could have one. In putting her on the weight scale I tore my left lung muscle. Nice. It beats a broken rib I guess. The possibility of still putting her to sleep hangs in the air. I can’t have her suffer. She is 14 mayby 15 years old. We have been thru so much together but at the same time not having “my girl” the one that can walk easy and not pant so much and no longer live the quality life she use to have. I have to put my ego aside and make the right descion. I cried alot today.
I have to work and leaving her for long hours really bothers me concidering her condition. So we will see. I am just really tired, overwhelmed and sore. I hate to be the descion maker here. I hate that it is on my shoulders. But I will do what is right for my Casie Marie Boo Boo Head. I love the shit out of her. We have been thru so much shit together.
