I’M STILL HERE in Adventures From Prison

I was reading through the sparse collection of notes regarding my last few entries and realized that some of you might have been under the impression that I’m giving up writing here entirely…that is so far from the truth it’s funny! I’m still here and still full of stories to tell of my prison adventures. Life only gets weirder in here.
My bocce past-time has definitely consumed much of my free-time. I finished in the top 10 players of the Spring League and just placed 3rd in our July 4th (opposite hand) tournament. I’ve got a knack for it and find that I’m able to really relax and be myself around the players. Plus, I haven’t been in an organized competition in about 20 years, so it’s also a fun and novel thing to win.
I’ve been reading a lot also. I just finished Finders Keepers by Stephen King, The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, all of which were quite awesome. We don’t get to see any summer movies until winter, so while you get to enjoy popcorn flicks, I choose fun reads to take their place. Some of my upcoming escapes are The Bird Box, Scarlet Gospels and the Peter Grant series by Ben Aaronvitch. I’m sure none of them are too thought provoking (unlike the first 3 I mentioned) but they’ll certainly take me away for awhile. Let me know if you have any other recommendations from your own libraries.
