He Awoke Because Of The Heat... in Dreams And Nightmares

Beads of sweat were already tickling down his forehead when he shot straight up out of a deep slumber. His head ached and there was a dryness of the mouth that could only mean one thing, he over did it again. The light in the room made him close his eyes immediately after opening them. After a few minutes his eyes adjusted to the bright light and he could make out where was.

It seemed to be a bonus room with hard wood floors, scuffed with years of use, and strewn with trash. In the far corner was a small television set on a TV stand that was only playing snow. The hissing of the station only added to his aggravation. The make shift bed that he lay upon…and soiled himself in…was only two blankets bundled together with a stuffed bear for a pillow. The bear was covered in burn holes from what appeared to be cigarettes or God know’s what. The walls were covered in graffiti and there was a smell about the room that had hints of alcohol and freebasing.

His memory was extremely fuzzy from the night before and there was no recollection whatsoever of how he ended up in the room.

It was definitely a screwy nightmare. Just rereading it now brought me back.
