Been a while since I wrote! Where to start…
Life has been good. I’m getting enough hours at work, not struggling too much financially. In fact, I’ve been able to save up for furniture and got myself a new dresser, this beautiful white dresser at Ikea I’ve had my eye on for a while! And for the boys I got a nice big bookcase to fit all their books. It feels so good to be getting nice furniture and organizing my place a little better. I’ve decluttered some, donated a bunch of stuff. Yeah, it feels good :)
Things with the boyfriend are going awesome. B is so great, I am continually being amazed by him! He’s attentive to details of my life and will remind me of things I should have been aware of but have somehow slipped my mind. He defends me. Does things for me without being asked. He encourages and supports me. Always there to cheer me up and vent to. He’s just awesome. Love him so much! It’ll be five months for us at the end of this month :)
The boys are doing well. Luke is turning five in less than two weeks so I’ve been planning his birthday party! There has been a bit of drama with his dad… he got upset with me for planning a party a week before his. Accused me of doing this on purpose to be a jerk to him. But really, can’t he just invite the kids I didn’t get to invite? Sure Luke has his best buds, but he’s an easy-going kid and likes everyone. I’m sure he’ll be happy to invite all little boys in his class. Not all will go to my party for him so surely there will be kids at his dad’s party for him, right? Ah the joys of split homes… Nick is good, growing like a weed! Not getting negative feedback from his new teacher (his teacher went on mat leave in March) so that’s a good thing. Maybe she’s more patient and tolerant or he hasn’t been acting out as much in class… Still have to work on his social skills with his peers though. There’s name calling and inappropriate comments/gestures made at times. I like to think it’s normal at this age but Nick has always had a sense of humor not everyone gets. He’s just like his dad in that sense.
Hm what else can I say… My birthday is next week! I’ve celebrated with my family last week already since it’s a busy time for all of us. Probably going to do something special with B on my actual birthday. I am not working as of yet and I don’t plan on taking a shift! It’s my day :)
Getting tired and can’t think of more to write so I’ll sign off now… until next time prosebox peeps!
