I just have a couple minutes left of my lunch break here at work, but wanted to pop in.
What’s NEW, folks? I’ve been at the “new” job for about 7 months now, it’s going fairly well, I got accolades today for… doing my job. lol. Well, for doing it quickly and properly. So that was lovely. My supervisor is super great, and I like her a lot. She’s very laid back. As long as I come to work, I’m good to go.
I’ve started doing QA, which is horribly boring, but it passes the time. I don’t make enough money. :-\ I need a raise, but I don’t think I’ll get one. We’re a non-profit organization, and it sounds like nobody in the back office is making more than $17.50/hr, I make $14.50/hr, so I could probably go up a SMIDGE, but it seems unlikely since I’m not permanent, in theory.
Our school district is laying off like 30 employees before next year. Mostly in middle and high school, but it seems unlikely that they will be hiring many elementary teachers either. I’m going to apply for just anything that comes up, but I don’t expect many postings until closer to July… If any at all.
I had my IUD removed. I’m using the Nuva Ring until the end of July or August, in theory. I’m sort of hoping that I’ll get a better job and we can have another baby. Interesting development, right? Ross started going to counseling with Kasin and they’ve been making improvements. I also had a little melt down and told Ross I was leaving, I had looked at cabins and had one all picked out and everything… and then he talked me out of it, as he does, and we’re all still living in the same house… but things are better. Milo is doing pretty well, we’ve hit a sweet spot with his meds, it seems like. He and Kasin are going better, too, and that’s taken a lot of stress off of everybody. I think I need to start getting him to bed earlier, but it’s practically impossible. Ross still needs to get back on his meds, but it’s hard when we can’t afford anything, yanno?
I signed both kids up for soccer this summer, and I’m considering swimming lessons for them both, as well. We’ll see. I’m waiting on a big fat check from Corey (X-husband, Kasin’s dad, if you’re new here.) for his tax return. He got married this last year, so he got a big fat refund (3525! WOOT!) and it goes STRAIGHT TO ME since he never pays child support. WINNING.
Alright. That’s all the time I have today. See you again soon ;)

I was always amazed at how many lackluster employees there must be out there, when I would get praised heavily for the basics. I would be all "um, Im just doing the job". LOL I bet youre a great employee.
Glad to hear that it sounds like things are going well on all fronts. Bout time Ross put some big boy pants on. ;)
