Traditionally there are four kinds of whisky. The differences between them — you either already know or don’t care, but it’s the type and amount of grain. Three are named after the country of origin and one after a very spefic county in the country of origin. Though whisky can and has been made everywhere.

In 2010 the Whisky of year was Aramut made in India. The largest distillery in the world is now in Japan. Why? Because when the Japanese do shit they do the shit out of shit. And craft distilleries abound all over the world, but Japan and India, for instance, aren’t going to be synonymous with a type of whisky and/or whiskey (oddly enough both spellings are acceptable).

Again you don’t care or already know. I’m not here to bury whiskey or praise it, I’m here to put up tunes that make me think of the whiskies.
Bourbon

Scotch

Irish

Canadian

I was thinking about making an Old Fashioned. It’s too fucking cold outside to go hunting for orange bitters. Be nice to one another, buy a round for the house and give the fiddler a dram.
