Since the new year began, I’ve managed to keep my house pretty clean. Organized though, not really. It’s also not going to get much better because I’m about to start school four nights a week and won’t have much time for organization! I’ve never really been an organized person anyway, but I would eventually like to get my house more orderly.
I think part of the problem is my house is too small for everything. We have five people crammed into a little two-bedroom house. The basement is completely finished with a bathroom but no one ever goes down there, except Jacob. It’s a huge mess down there right now though. Half of it is a play area and half of it is a storage area, and in the middle there’s a futon, computer, big tv area where we sometimes go and watch stuff. The laundry is in the unfinished part. I don’t really like being down there though because there are really gross camel crickets that we can’t seem to track down. D:
Cannon’s been having a language explosion, it’s pretty great! He knows the names of many of his trains, and he points to animals and makes the sounds they make. He knows some colors and letters. He tries to sing songs all the time, just like his mama. I usually go around the house and make up songs all day, because that’s just how I am, and I’m noticing he does that too. haha. It’s adorable.
I really think he needs his own bed. Jacob is usually the one to get Cannon to sleep, but he just lets him watch Thomas the Train on the Kindle until he falls asleep… but it’s not effective because Cannon will not sleep unless you make him lay down. He’s just a really energetic kid who doesn’t like to “stop” so you have to make him sometimes. The past few nights I’ve turned off the lights, tv, and I’ve had to physically had to lay him down and keep redirecting him to lay down, and BAM he’s out after a few minutes.
I think having his own room will really help him go to sleep better, but we won’t be able to move until June.
It got really cold today, as for many of you. Jacob didn’t have work. He’s been into canning lately and today he’s canning ham and bean soup, and that’s also what we are having for dinner. Yummm.
He’s also been really touching me a lot and kissing me and stuff. But we haven’t had an opportunity for sex, so… it kinda sucks. He’s always all over me , which is nice, but we’re both kinda frustrated in some ways. ;(
We also haven’t fought, so that’s good. I’m still trying to figure out this counseling stuff, and trying to plan for the wedding. We decided to change the venue and we decided to have a smaller ceremony. I’d much rather have a large reception and a private ceremony.
Wedding planning freakin’ sucks. I never dreamed of how my wedding would be like or anything, and it’s just really stressful. I want to marry him, but this whole wedding stuff is not my idea of a good time!
