So the big news is that starting Monday, Jayson will be working for Guy. Guy has been doing really well at his company and in the fall was promoted to the overall manager of the third shift. He complained about having to work nights again, but the company is huge and runs a large third shift. He’s the boss of more than 30 people. And of course if he does a good job managing third shift, I’m sure he’ll eventually be moved to work during the day.
One of his new responsibilities is hiring and firing, and he had a few positions to fill so he asked Jayson if he was interested. Jayson was already working nights, so this was just an opportunity to have a boss that he knows and make a little more money. I think it’s a good thing.
I have to admit that I’m a bit jealous about how much money that Rachel and Guy have. Guy is doing quite well at his job and Rachel is finishing law school in the spring and is already making a lot of money at the firm where she works. Jayson and I struggle to make end meet with three kids, and they seem to be rolling in money.
I was doing laundry last week and found a fancy piece of lingerie that belonged to Rachel. It said Agent Provocateur on the label, which I know is expensive, so I looked it up online and saw that it cost $800. That’s a lot of money for a small amount of lace and some stitching.
