Yesterday was a mostly lazy day. I did the bulk of my productive tasks early, and then spent the rest of the day vegging out. I watched a lot of home renovation shows and daydreamed about our fantasy house in Washington.
Sleep was a little crappy last night. I initially fell asleep around 10:30, but in an effort to turn over, my worse knee decided to lock up and produced THEE worst pain. I tried to hold in my vocal reaction for fear of waking our upstairs neighbors. Rick was out taking a walk. I deliberated about whether or not to call him to come back in to assist me.
The pain gets worse by the day. I am waiting on the referral to the orthopedic surgeon.
Today, I had therapy scheduled. To be honest, I just don’t feel like it, so I texted her and cancelled our session. I thought briefly about using that time to get a few groceries and run to the post office, but procrastination won. That is something I LOVE about my ADHD- I can cancel an entire day of plans, all based on a vibe. I am not sorry.
I have zero idea what today holds. Collage? Cleaning? Cooking? There are no rules, and I am unsupervised. Rick will always choose dilly dallying and shenanigans when given the choice, so there’s no point in hoping he’ll hold me accountable, hahahahahahahaha.
I should be a teeny bit productive today. We should at least start planning what we need to pack for our twelve day stay at K.’s place starting Saturday. K messaged last night and asked if his girlfriend could stay at OUR place for four days, while we are at his place, because her place is being tented for termites. I actually delayed replying last night because Rick and I were too stoned to make a coherent decision so I put it off for today.
I messaged that it would be okay, but with a few caveats. 1. We both would likely be coming back to the apartment during the day to work, prep dinner to take back, etc. 2. She’s welcome to sleep on the pull out sofa bed. (My ADHD and being on chemo makes me very cautious about people sleeping in my bed, so that’s a non-negotiable). And finally 3. She has to use street parking and walk into the complex.
He said he’d let her know. She’s super cool and I hope to work with her. The fact that she asked means that she must trust us.
Rick is spending his days trying to solve mega complex mathematical issues in a program called Blender. It’s got him in a chokehold presently. He is on a walk, hoping to get the brain juices flowing.
I am going to go with the flow today. Hot dogs for lunch, something easy for dinner. Lollygagging all day, because who cares? My monstera, Frank, needs some extra attention. I have seeds to plant. Flower illustrations to cut up. Orders to pack. It’s all so exciting.
I hope you are all having a good day.
