Well gosh. There is supposed to be a repairperson coming to look at the fridge today (since it stopped working), but we haven’t heard anything. Luckily there is a 1950s fridge downstairs that has never stopped working so we put everything in that.

I’ve been looking for a mid-century vanity, but I can’t seem to find one. Jacob’s mom wants to get me one, but she wants to get me an old, old one… like 19th century. I’m okay with that too, but I haven’t really found one I feel like I need yet.

Also I have no idea where I’d put a vanity. She’d have to keep it at her house until we move in June. I also have no idea where I’m going to put my sewing machine. The downstairs is full and the upstairs is beyond full. Our little house just isn’t accommodating all of us, now that Cannon’s bigger and my sister decided she needed one of the two bedrooms upstairs instead of staying in the [finished] basement.

If I had it my way, we’d have a house with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a finished basement. One bedroom for each of the kids, and us. And the basement is a hobby area. I’d put my sewing machine down there, we have the gaming computer down there, and Jacob’s dehydrator and other things he does.

We have the big TV down there too but we never go down there. It’s just not practical for me with the kids to be down there all the time when everything’s conveniently upstairs.

Anyway, I was in the midst of doing my annual New Year’s Eve cleanathon when I threw my back out… and it hurts to move. It’s actually even hurting to lay down. So now I’m out of commission and I’m REALLY disappointed, because I was looking forward to having a clean house to bring in the new year. I’ve done this for the past few years. Last year I did it early in the day because we had plans (and got engaged!) but this year I planned on doing it into the evening.

I’m in a world of pain; I took two ibuprofen, but it hasn’t helped much. :( I feel bad because Jacob didn’t get much sleep last night and I wanted him to rest, but now he’s the one having to take care of things.

I’ll probably just watch sewing videos and play my new game, since we got a 3DS charger. ;D
