I got a text last week from Isa’s mom that said she doesn’t like dirty dishes when she wakes up and we should clean our dishes before we sleep.

A cup.
A fork.
A spoon.

My bad.

I say “Okay,” with a smile because it’s a simple request.

Tell me why there are dirty dishes that aren’t ours in the sink tonight at almost 3am? Tch, tch, tch.

When should I schedule my text about wanting a clean sink in the morning?

Since the incident about 2 weeks ago, she’s been more brave to just tell me how she wants things without worrying if I’m going to have a reaction. I don’t think this is necessarily bad, though, Isa says he thinks that she is recently trying to put more rules and pressure on us because she wants to take back the control I took from her by cleaning a singular counter in her kitchen.

Go figure.
