Happy Lunar New Year!! It’s the year of the Fire Horse for those who observe. This is supposed to be a year of ACTION!
As I’m wont to do (and spurred by some PB comments), I looked up my Chinese Zodiac sign. I knew that I was a Goat simply because I’ve known this for many years from a simple Chinese food placemat as well as talking with many of my Chinese friends.
But I discovered that I am a Fire 🔥 Goat 🐐. Whoop! I think this is going to be an amazing year!
And I kind of love this from my research:
Fire Goats tend to be:
• More confident and bold than other Goats
• Creative, intuitive, emotionally perceptive
• Warm, charismatic, sometimes dramatic
• Drawn to beauty, design, aesthetics, atmosphere
• Sensitive to stress and conflict, but resilient when inspired
Compared to other Goat elements:
• Wood Goat → gentler, more cooperative
• Earth Goat → practical, steady
• Metal Goat → disciplined, controlled
• Water Goat → deeply emotional, adaptive
• Fire Goat → passionate, expressive, driven
Fire adds intensity, ambition, and visibility.
Lunar New Year Energy for a Fire Goat
We’re currently in the Year of the Horse (2026).
Horse and Goat are generally considered compatible in Chinese astrology. The Horse brings motion, momentum, action — which is good for a Goat that sometimes overthinks or hesitates (that’s SO ME!).
Big Themes for You This Year
- Movement beats rumination: Opportunities come from doing, not analyzing.
- Visibility helps you: Horse years reward boldness, showing work, initiating conversations.
- Social connections matter more than usual: Allies, referrals, introductions carry real weight.
- Emotional climate affects outcomes: If something feels draining or chaotic, it likely is.
So, with that, I need to get going. Moving on my presentation. I want to finish today. Then, more scheduling of a few things on my list, and then prepping for the busy weekend ahead.
I will be covering all four of these things:
-
The movement of doing all the things on my to-do list today (OMG, just spent yet another HOUR on the phone with United Health Care who was telling me I didn’t have dental coverage even though I got this plan specifically because it does have dental coverage…shit…these people).
-
I have some things to do to make myself more visible today - finishing preso, networking with a couple of folks who could be very, very influential, scheduling more time with consulting gig
-
Working on my social connections that are happening in the near future - the weekend plans!
-
Staying away from chaos - trying my best…UHC was a test!!
What’s YOUR sign? And what are you doing about it?
xox,
GS
