I just finished my last final, hooray! One semester closer to getting a teaching license.
This spring is my last “fun” semester, since it mostly consists of electives, and then I start interning in the summer, observing in the fall, and student teaching in the spring, if everything goes accordingly. I still need to finish the application, but that isn’t due until March, so I’m in no hurry.
It’s closer than I’m comfortable with, I am TERRIFIED of student teaching, I dread it.
Anyway, I already know two of my Christmas gifts. hah. I don’t mind, since I’m not really a “surprise me” kinda gal. I’m more excited for the kids to get their gifts!
I’m in a better mood than earlier, since I know he doesn’t do it maliciously. His mom still does a lot for him and he’s 28. I can’t blame him for not knowing how to clean or keep an orderly house, since he has never been made to. His mom always did everything for him… but surprisingly, he doesn’t act like a spoiled brat. He’s actually a pretty humble, giving guy who takes good care of us. I can’t always take his sloppiness personally, but I do get quite tired of it.
I think part of it is because his parents always gave to charity (still do), and they took in foster kids while he was growing up. They are wonderful people, I just adore his family. I’m so glad to have them in my life.
It’s supposed to snow tonight. I hope they don’t have a snow day tomorrow, I’d like to get the house more orderly and get more laundry done, and when Jacob is home I get nothing done because I just want to be lazy and hang out with him.
Cannon has been very interested in letters lately. His favorite book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, he brings it to me a few times a day. He likes to say “a” and “d.”
I tried to have him color gift tags today to put on presents, but he wasn’t into it.
I did a paint project with Lorelei yesterday, but Cannon hates paint on his hands/feet, so he wasn’t into that either. DO CRAFTS WITH MEEEEE.
He keeps bringing me a toy baby, kissing it, and wants me to kiss it. haha
Now he brought it to Lorelei so she would kiss it, but she’s just going to chew on it. haha
He shares with Lorelei a lot, it’s darling. It’s so darling how much they love each other. Sometimes they just laugh at each other. <3
