Sometimes the weather fits

My uncle died on Wednesday. It was an expected thing though earlier than predicted. He had ALS (Lou Gerhig’s disease) and with that diagnosis comes a death sentence. There aren’t words to express how horrid a disease it is or how wretchedly unfair it was that such a sweet man had to suffer so.

The funeral will be a major affair, I suspect the church will be packed. My uncle was a prominent businessman, quite well-known and admired in this city. The burial will be private, family only. Relatives in our very large family have flown in from all over the States and as far abroad as Korea.

It is very cold today and raining heavily. Miserable weather all around. Somehow it seems fitting. To bury this man on a beautiful day would be too cruel.

Sorry about your loss. I’m sure your love was a comfort to him.

Very sad. Sorry you are going through this. I like your observation about the weather, though.
