Last kiss in Poetry

If I knew that the last time I kissed you

Was going to be the last time I ever kissed you

I would have done it better...

I would have put everything I had into it

I would have put my heart and soul into your lips

I would have lingered longer

I would have grabbed your waist

And held you as tight as I could

I would have got lost in your hair for just a moment more

I would have made sure that you could feel

The passion that courses through my veins

Everyday for you

How much I love you

How much I need you

How much you are not alone

That last kiss would have been everything

And you would have no doubt that I would never want

It to be our last kiss.
