Okay, okay. I’ve almost completely let that interview go. It’s out in the universe and there’s nothing I can do now. But one last thing I want to mention that I was kind of scared to mention before out of fear of hearing things like, YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER!
I’ve had technical glitches and made mistakes with this company before! I already knew I had a past with them, and yet, I still wasn’t careful. I mean, I was in the beginning of the interview, but I wasn’t at the end. But read on…
Five years ago, in the height of the covid situation, when everyone was working from home. I had set up an interview with this same company for a similar role. I’d gotten all the way to the panel interview and if I remember correctly, there were five other people on the Teams call. And it turned out to be a total disaster!
If you click the link, you’ll go back to an entry from 2020. I had put together a whole case study presentation. I’d spent hours and hours prepping for this interview. It describes me in a panic because I couldn’t get my screen to share the presentation, and then I couldn’t get it to download fast enough to send the presentation to the interviewers, and I was panicky, and it was an absolute disaster!!
I now strongly believe that this is the universe aggressively pushing me away from this company! The hiring manager for this particular role is new in her position. It was a promotion for her, and I can tell she will take zero bullshit (not that I have bullshit to give) as she climbs her way up the corporate ladder. She just doesn’t seem like someone I want to work for…nor is the product that exciting to me. The only saving graces with this company are that it is a giant corporation with benefits that I need. It’s a job that I’d take just to have a job. But I do think the universe is telling me NO. Again.
I do believe it’s the universe saying, move ON, Ginger!!
And so I keep moving. I have to keep moving.
