Day 333 - Crafternoon Delight in These Foolish Things

Almost noon. Have not accomplished anything today. Yet.

I am home from Thanksgiving with the fam. Thank you for all of your notes and suggestions on my last entry.

I have decided to go back to Mom and Dad’s next week with some crafting options for Mom since she’s worried about getting Christmas shopping done this year. Some have asked about Mom getting out and about, and she doesn’t like to even leave the house anymore. The only times she gets out are for doctors appointments, and I think that even those are hard for her.

Anyway, she used to love to craft. Like, she was in charge of her ladies’ crafting group at her church, and she was always such a good crafter. So I suggested to her that I bring some things for us to work on together and then she could give them as gifts. So she won’t have to worry as much about getting out and shopping.

I figured that doing some things with her hands might help her hand-brain connection, too. And I would also be taking some burden off of Dad.

She and Dad really seemed to like that idea.

So now I have to come up with some good ideas for us! I’ve already got the pom-pom project that I never finished last year. She could help with that. And I’ve got the scarf/bandana charm necklace stuff too. Already have all of the supplies! And she can give them as gifts.

And I need to come up with a couple of other ideas.

Anyway. I think I’m going to pull out my Christmas decorations from the garage and make it a little more festive around here.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll get the gumption to get moving outside of the house again.

xox,
GS
