Day 319 - Car Crash in the Middle of the Night in These Foolish Things

It’s Saturday. I slept in a little because I had the craziest nightmare last night that kept me up for a good long while in the middle of the night. The dream ended in a car crash (into a truck), and you know how those dreams go…you wake up with a start right before you feel the impact of the disaster.

Here’s what AI has to say about my dream:

I’m nothing if not straightforward/understandable, right?

What I didn’t understand was my injured pet duck (???) flailing and flapping around on the dashboard right before impact. Heh. Weird.

Nothing was resolved yesterday from a work standpoint. It was pretty much a stall of a day. I didn’t hear from ANY prospective employers, though I did send a second message out to the HR person who asked me for my available times for a video interview. How can it be that EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYER is ghosting…everyone?! The more I research it, the more it sounds this way. Why do people suck so hard? Why would you reach out to ME…only to immediately ghost? It makes NO sense.

Does anyone reading me make UGC? Video ads for random companies? I am thinking about maybe trying my hand at it? Just for funzies. I know it’s not the easiest thing in the world, but one of the other people who was let go from The Cool Cat Company makes UGC, and she does a great job of it. I don’t know if she makes great money, but it might be something since companies are apparently looking for peeps in their 50s since 50 and ups have all of the disposable income??

Today I’m going to a late brunch at this really cool place I’ve never been before. The venue looks amazing - a mansion within a park in the middle of the city. Apparently, there are peacocks wandering the grounds amidst a lush, green garden. I’m going to soak this one up, for sure.

The weather’s been schizo over the last few days. I think it has been that way for the whole country. Earlier in the week, it was literally freezing. Today, it’s going to be summer-like again. I’m still going to dress kinda fall-ish. And I’m going to wear boots. Screw it.

I better go get ready.
