August. in The Awesome Chronicles of me.

August was meh. Got hit with a big old tax bill of 1500 bucks im trying to scramble to get (Ill get it I have some plans, its just sucky, and i’m not gonna do a gofundme or anything I feel fairly worthless and a burden half the time to begin with and I’m not gonna leech off friends because of my big boo boo) But thats not here and there, ill get it.

So Beginning of the month, I finally beat Resonance of fate. I enjoyed the game, i really did, that final fight took me an hour and a half because it was so frustrating.... because the ending was 5 minutes, most of it through the credits and it opened it up for a sequel that never happened. That really killed the vibe. I might play through it again, but it would be a new game plus because some of those fights were annoying. I say that because the game play when done well was a lot of fun, I posted pictures of it but the customization was through the roof. I loved making the wacky guns I did. So after that I decided to putz with Mass effect again, I finished the OG trilogy just last night, and I just started Andromeda again because I need a long play through football season until Outer worlds 2. I preordered that I had a carp ton of amazon credit so that happened. I cant wait for it.

In Gatcha gaming news. HSR is STILL in the holding pattern, I did the most recent story stuff and i’m just waiting on the next patch because thats what i’m gonna be pulling for, evernight (Which......... Its the real form of March 7th and i’m nervous. March 7th is one of my favorite characters because of Dorky kid sister vibes and the new form is.......... I dunno, lets hope.) I might also pull for the rerun of Castorice because I dunno why she reminds me of a smol tiddy goth GF with a big purple dragon.

In ZZZ news, I decided to pull for Alice, she’s a rich kid who is part of a spooky story group called Spook shack, and I wasn’t going to pull for her originally but she’s adorable, she hates asymmetry and she has a cute little belt that displays her emotions. I’m glad I did, I also like her play style.

In Board game news, I have mentioned I wanted the game “Lightning train” and i asked someone I know who was going to gencon to get me one and I stressed “If it wasn’t too much of a hassle” Dude waited  an hour and a half. I felt a bit guilty. He asked for an extra 5 bucks for waiting. I gladly paid it. I’ve played it a couple times and I want to play it more it was really nifty.  I like pick up and deliver/route building games, I like bag building games and the guy who made it has a high pedigree. 

So, i wanted to spin around to what happened earlier in the month with the toxic ex. She added me on instagram. And i dunno if i mentioned it, she messaged me again and I was a smidge standoffish (TBF it was on a tuesday) she basically regurgitated what she said before. The instagram thing.. im basically just gonna ignore her. I dunno if i mentioned it but the night she contacted me I did have some flashbacks of the trauma that she gave me. It was 25 years ago but it really never healed. Situation will continue to monitor.

 

And Finally lets end this before picture dump with the greatest sport on the planet, thats American football. It starts next week. As everyone should know by now you would have to drop a small nuclear bomb on my house to stop me from watching American football (Ok the NFL, Ill watch college but i’m not -as- attached to it) And as of yesterday the Packers fleeced…err traded with the Cowboys for Micah Parsons, a really good Defensive player for 2 first round picks and a player (A decent player Kenny Clark but easily replaceable) and while the contract might come back to haunt the team and lets hope its better than the last time the packers traded two first round picks away (John Hadl… yeesh) 

So that was my august. Somewhat harrowing, but not panicking yet. (I shall be fine) It was fairly ok outside that. Time for pictures:

This is coming late next year. I will get it because obviously its set in Pittsburgh. Ive seen some bits and it looks awesome.
