When my long time boyfriend amd I decided to get married we didnt tell anybody rightaway. We wanted to do it in the UK where he is from.So we got our passports and started making arrangements. Then finally we told them. I wanted to tell my dad first bec I was afraid of him taking it the the worst, the best we jusy wernt sure of his reaction. So went over for the weekend to my dads and announced our news. His response was perfect. Dad asked questions and we all talked about it. Just wonderful. Then we told my mother and her husband. The only thing she said was. Who gets jackson (my then 2yr old) when im dead.
My heart broke and filled woth such anger so fast. I responded NOT YOU. Yes I should of responded differently. I continued tellin her who would get jackson and why.
Then after that all she did was mope around the house sayi g there were going to be mo holidays bec jackson wasnt going to be around on the holiday.
With the way she responded to the news and our history. My fiance convinced me to get rid of anythimg that we didnt need. We planed on being gone a year so we only could keep very little and store it at my dads. For feer something would happen to our things.
so we the night before we left packed up the rest of our things that still needed to be done. On our last night there my mother you could feel the sadness/hate coming off pf her towards me.
