I have inherited a cabin in the wood and a few acres of woodlands deep in arctic woodland between Sweden and Finland from my Father who died in cancer this May.
I am seriously consider to move to the cabin permenantly. If I sell my flat in central Stockholm and with the inheritance from my Father I have calculated that the money will end when I turn 83 if I live cheaply.
I need to buy a car who can handle this and I think an old volvo will do. Maybe the S-series from 2005?
Winter is very, very cold. But that is managable since I got a heater and a fireplace and wood.
Problem is I am not so sure how to handle a chainsaw, but it can't be that hard to find out.
I am either going to need to buy a used tractor to open up the road to the cabin during winter or buy the service from my neighbour who lives a few kilometers away. But I can't operate a tractor. This will be an issue.
I can get supply from the store and live of my land as there is plenty of fish, wild berries and my old man got is shotgun on the attic.
