Something I've Never Done Before... in BAH HUMBUG!

I had a few strong words with our postie, not an argument, just a few words. The other postie’s around here are brilliant and hard working and if they accidentally give us mail for someone else then we’ll happily drop that mail in the letterbox of whichever property it is and we’ll also take parcels for someone if they’re out, but this particular postie is useless.

He came in this morning with 2 large no-named leaflets + a large brown and 2 whites, none of which were for us, plonked them on my work desk and said ‘’you can deal with those’’ before running out before I had chance to go through them.

I binned the leaflets, the brown was for a local cafe so I took that around to the lady who owns it, a white was for the closed down falling down dilapidated old pub next door that closed years ago, another white for a business opposite who closed years ago and a new business is now running. I binned the pub and opposite business as we regularly get their mail.

It’s not the first time that postie has dumped other peoples mail on me because he’s useless and can’t be arsed to deliver it himself!

I caught the postie earlier and explained that he’s again given me a pile of other people’s mail and that could he actually do it himself? Especially as he’s being paid for it!

His attitude was he ‘’didn’t realize’. I told him that he knows our name and also the name of our business, which number we are, which road, the brown one isn’t even in the same road as us! I told him I’m not a postie, it’s not my job to do his job for him and from now on if he gives me other peoples mail I’ll be expecting him to give me his wages for doing his job and speaking to our local post office about him!

He just stormed off!
